Renumbering pages
When the order of the pages changes possibly caused by adding, deleting or moving pages or you modify the page number manually, it is possible that the pages must be renumbered. Stamp Album Studio can perform this task for you. When one of the before mentioned situations occurs, Stamp Album Studio will always ask if the pages need to be renumbered.
The renumbering will start from the page that caused the change in the page number.
Examples:
Prefixes and suffixes
The renumbering process also supports prefixes and suffixes. A prefix is a text before the page number, for example TAX. A suffix is a text following the page number, for example a. When you enter a prefix or suffix for your page, the next pages will get the same prefix and suffix.
Examples:
Skipping a page during renumbering
It is possible to skip certain pages during renumbering. This can be convenient when a page does not have a page number or has a fixed page number. You can achieve this via the check mark “Skip this page when renumbering” on the screen "Page Setup". Stamp Album Studio will ignore this page during renumbering.
Example:
Suppose your album has three pages of which the middle one does not have a page number and the first and last page have page numbers 1 and 3. If you change the page number of the first page to 2 Stamp Album Studio will only renumber the first and last page to 1 and 3. So the page in the middle will be skipped.
Renumbering manually
You can also start the renumbering proces yourself via the main menu option Tools and then Renumber Pages... . After confirmation the renumbering process will start.
N.B.:
The renumbering starts on the selected page. This means that if page 10 is selected the renumbering will also start from page 10. Pages 1 till 9 will be left unchanged. To start the renumbering from page 1 you first have to select page 1 and then start the renumbering proces.
